CAE Musicmix - Stars, Tom Verlaine & The Pixies, et al.

Heard the first tune on the radio recently and liked it instantly. The Stars are followed by Tom Verlaine and Jimmy Rip who worked on Music for Experimental Film. I recommend watching DVD if you're into old silent movies. But the highlight is the music (or soundtrack) they created for the films. Verlaine reminds me a little of Bill Frisell here, another excellent—nay, monumental—guitarist. Somehow those guys got me thinking on the Pixies which led to some popular rock tracks that I still dig
